Unwelcome rainbow

I wish this rainbow, or, to be more accurate, the rain that caused it had had some self control and waited an hour or so. Last week we had some fencing and gates replaced. It was gorgeously sunny all afternoon, so I decided, that, despite the weather forecast, it looked like staying that way. I decided that it was worth staining the wood so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.

I managed to get most done then dark black clouds rolled in. Within a few minutes it was stair-rodding it down. I fear much of my effort this afternoon has simply been washed away.

It looks like I'm going to have to re-do some of it when, or if, the weather improves.

At least the new camera had a moments use.
