Sundayskies # 2

What an amazing day!

Farmers' Market first thing, followed by a visit to a one-off market held at a VERY prestigious private school not far from where we live. At this particular school they have pretty much a working farm - cattle (well, one young steer), alpacas, sheep, chooks, a poly-tunnel full of veggies, an orchard. Oh, and a fully fledged fish breeding set-up. It was quite something, and I was impressed.

We didn't really hang around very long, because the main part of our day was a mini-safari down to the northern part of our south coast. There were two places on our hit-list: Second Valley and Cape Jervis.

Cape Jervis didn't get much of a look in, because we spent a huge amount of time at Second Valley exploring the rocky beaches and coves. It's a truly wonderful place.

The weather was starting to turn later in the afternoon, but I got this shot before it became too overcast.

An absolute haven for blippers - and if anyone decides to visit, it's going to be on our hit list. It has a bit of everything - a stunning coast line, quite a bit of history, and a terrific restaurant. Not that we partook this time, because we had a lovely picnic instead.

Deep water

Ooops, I really should say thanks to everyone for the lovely comments on Bride Terri from yesterday. It was a very special occasion.

Haven't had a chance to comment on anything - but I do have to say just one thing: please everyone, take time to think about and pray for all those affected by the bushfires in New South Wales. There are many Blippers in Blackheath and surrounding areas in the Blue Mountains, which is one of the worst hit areas. It is a truly horrendous situation and all we can do is pray that they can get the fires under control soon. It's looking very bad right now.
