It's A Girl!

Emily was delivered by planned Cesarean section at 2.12pm, weighing 6lb 11oz. #1 Daughter and baby are both doing well.

How great modern technology is! Before 3pm Rachel was calling my mobile to tell me the news and by 5pm we were Skyping and looking at the lovely baby. We talked again by phone during the evening. So nice to have been in touch like this.

It seems a long time since I blipped the duplo back in May to announce the pregnancy. So, tomorrow we go to see them with a card of that blip for the proud parents, a soft pink blanket for the baby, a bunch of pink roses for a lovely mum and lots of little things to amuse the gorgeous Daniel.
