Emily
The Man, The Mother and I made the trip over to Sheffield today to visit #1 Daughter and her day-old baby girl, Emily.
We had left home in time to get over, including a coffee break at Scotch Corner, and have half an hour in hand to get to the ward after parking. The trouble we hadn't anticipated was: THERE WAS NO PARKING! The Son-in Law had waited to give us his parking slot but a Volvo V70 wouldn't fit into the space other drivers had left around a Toyota Prius!. The multi-storey was full, the neighbouring streets were full and, of course the Disabled spaces were full. We ended up on one of the city car parks phoning for a taxi! Our precious visiting time was diminishing!
I shouldn't dwell on this, it was so stressing! We were so very pleased to get up to the ward and see The Daughter and The Granddaughter. Here she is in the arms of The Great Grandmother.
We got another taxi to The Swim Inn and had a meal and went looking for our car so we could go back for evening visiting. Mother and baby are doing very well and while baby is hoping her mother will be providing nutrition, Rachel is hoping her husband will be cooking her meals tomorrow!
