To Enjoy a Coincidence

In my blip about the old guardhouse at Jurby Aerodrome here I mentioned that this old building had done well to last this long and I wished it well for the future.

Well now it seems that indeed it might have that future. An old friend of mine has applied for planning permission to convert it to a cafe and restaurant. There are all sorts of complications because it is a protected building and there are strict limits as to what can be altered.

So the yellow notices that you see attached to the boarded up window are notice of the applications. I just hope that the job does not get bogged down with Manx officialdom.
