A Return to Winter Quarters

At about midday there was a considerable disturbance overhead. Initially I thought it was the usual geese, but no, it was our Whooper Swans. They regularly over-winter at our location.

At least I assume they are Whoopers but there again I do not have a camera with 30 times zoom.

So this is the official start of winter.
