Where is the 08:59?

Up early to get the train to London. A short walk followed from Euston to St. Pancras station. Then a short journey from St. Pancras to Gard Du Nord.

First time on Eurostar. Time the trains correctly and we can be home to Paris in 3.5 hours. Less than flying! That and no real stress. Got to keep our shoes on at security. A nice large seat, and, if the need arose, you can walk over 1/4 mile up the corridor. Comfortable. Takes as much stuff as you like. Not cheap though.

Got checked in at our hotel having stumbled across another couple at the exit to the metro looking for the same place. Foolishly, we decided to go out for a walk around. Having got drenched within 200m and a few minutes, we changed out minds. About to try again....

Hopefully the rest of the weekend here in Paris will be a little more favourable.
