Eric @ bristolcon - Philip Reeve

We spent the day at Bristolcon, a one-day convention organized by the Bristol Fantasy & SF Society. Although I'm not a true SF/Fantasy buff, as Graham was one of the featured artists, Eric and I went along to offer my support and to find out what the con-scene was all about.

There was much to see and do in what turned out to be an action packed day. Aside from being Graham's "lovely sales assistant" for the day, there was an opportunity to see the con's Guests of Honour: writers Philip Reeve & Storm Constantine, and artist Mark Buckingham. Books, comics and merchandise were available in the dealers’ room and the authors were available for book signings.

Eric, being the well read bear that he is, was in his furry element - and posed for snaps with a number of stars during the course of the day. Here he is with Philip Reeve, author of the Mortal Engines quartet and leading writer for young adults.

We'll be back at the con next year - and Eric wants his own membership badge!
