Dubai Marina Canal

Hi Tom,

Another great day here and I think it's been the hottest day yet.

We had a bit of a lazy morning. We started down on the beach but I ended up just laying in the shallow part of the sea to keep cool. We then came back to our room as we can dip in and out as we please and there is also a platform where you can just sit or lay in the water.

The pool bar arrived which as you know is the canoe so we had a couple of very strong mojitas. Very nice they were too.

This afternoon we went on a boat trip. It was a beautiful boat with just five of us on board. We went around the palm where we are staying, over to the new development which is The World, on to the Burj Al Arab, moored up so we could have a swim off the boat.....the sea is incredibly salty, then we went up the canal. That's where I took this shot from. I loved the canal. It's full of bars, buildings and boats.

Off for dinner now.
