Friday chores
Waking up to a misty morning to harvest produce for the CSA and farmers market tomorrow. Chores that have become routine after three weeks on the farm. My time here is coming to a close soon though and I will be off north to British Columbia next week, then flying south, south south. A migrant bird fleeing the winter for the tropics. In the afternoon I had a skype call with my boss about Ecuador. Navigating the mind numbing litigation and safety issues that go along with teaching students in a remote wilderness setting. The conversation lasted almost two hours to give you some idea. An introduction to a world I am a stranger too but now must be aware of.
That is probably about the worst part of it though and as the time approaches I am growing more and more excited to be back in Latin America. Speaking Spanish, treading the spine of the Andes, and immersing myself in the hothouse of life, biodiversity present everywhere in the tropics. Many adventures ahead! For now, savoring the farm and resting in the nook of this moment.
