Safe and dry

Had a lazy Saturday for a change. We had talked about going to the library but when we got up this morning Lottie said she didn't really want to do anything - so we didn't! She has been so good for the last few weeks while we sorted the bungalow out, I think she deserves a chill out day.

We watched a bit of tv, painted and read - and the morning soon went. Once Stuart was up after his night shift we did venture out for an hour to get some supplies in (and a new pair of boots!).

Due to a) the weather, b) Stuart being at work again tonight and c) Lottie's aversion to fireworks, we decided to give the local bonfire a miss tonight, and I am so glad. It's been a horrible night - the wind is battering the rain against the windows! I watched the football, shame about the result, and Strictly - Lottie is fast asleep and I have banished the grey roots for a few more weeks!

We decided to bring the guinea pigs in tonight - away from the fireworks - and as it is so horrible out there I have no intention of putting them back outside till morning!
