Streatham Silk Mill

This is P B Cow's Streatham silk mill where I can be found on many a Saturday.

Along with the adjacent rubber factory, it played a large part in the Second World War effort making parachutes and life jackets.

It closed in 1985 but rather than being demolished was converted into a Sainbury's superstore. I enjoy finding history preserved like this.
