Swamp Cypress

This is one of my favourite trees at Trentham Gardens, a Swamp Cypress. It has a beautiful twisting trunk and the leaves turn a wonderful colour in the autumn.

A couple of summers ago honey bees made a nest in the trunk.

Lighting was tricky on the trunk as there's too much contrast, but next time I try this shot there may be no leaves left. I do like the dark branches against the colour of the leaves.
