Election Tomorrow

Arizona has a dismal record when it comes to funding its schools. Last year, a local budget override that had passed every year since 1989 did not pass and now Bob has no Physical Education class.

Yesterday Bob and I canvassed a neighborhood encouraging people to vote for the override this time around. The people we met were all polite, perhaps because I had Bob with me. He was a fairly good sport. He didn't want to do it. But he would like to have his PE class back, so that was encouragement enough.

Tonight, I called 38 voters to encourage them to vote tomorrow.

It apparently looks like it is going to be a close vote. I will keep you posted.
