Double Drippers

Explain to me how this happens. How a nearly round red berry can have 2 separate channels of water streaming down its sides? And, to have 2 berries...side by side...doing the same double dripping.

I waited and waited (in the rain) for the 2 drops to meet on the bottom. To merge as one...to join forces...to double their size...before falling to the earth to water the grass.

They didn't fall...stubbornly hanging on to their drip individuality. For all I know...they're still there.

I was in the area returning some CD's to the library, and picking up some fresh pasties (meat pies.) The Masonic Lodge bakes pasties on the first Wednesday of the month. $3.50 apiece. The smell inside the lodge was warm and inviting...and the question of "what's for supper" was answered.
