Sails in the sunset

Today saved the best 'till last ( looks better large)

Some more shots on my blip folio SEE HERE

A morning of sunshine and showers.
Had a walk round the parkland of Mannington Hall. (see folio)
Beautiful autumn foliage.
Highlight was seeing a kingfisher by the pond. It sat for ages sunning itself on a branch. (too far away for photos)

Lunch at the Hunny Bell, in a little village nearby called Hunworth.
One of the best Sunday lunches we have had.

Aberdeen Angus beef (from just down the road) with dripping roast potatoes, braised cabbage, cauliflower cheese, broccoli, carrots, leeks, and sautéed savoury cabbage. Huge Yorkshire puddings, and wonderful gravy.(see folio)

Had to have a pudding!
Orange and cardomon crème brulee with blood orange sorbet.
The best rich creamy crème brulee ever.

The staff were very friendly, and perfect service.
Very cosy pub. Great atmosphere . Just what an English pub should be.

Then down to Cley beach (see folio)
Now that really did blow the cobwebs away!!
Nice and sunny though.

Lots of knot in the fields, and hundreds of brent geese. (see folio)
I love it when they all suddenly take to the sky.

And so to finish. The sun setting behind the windmill.

Perfect end to a perfect day!
We are so lucky.
