A Day At A Time.

Remembrance Day

AT 11 o'clock on the 11th day of the 11th month, the entire school gathered around the swimming pool in reverent silence.

Extracts were read out from some letters home, written by a young soldier serving in Afghanistan. He was barely older than the three young men reading his letters.

The letters spoke of his hopes and dreams for the future and all the things he was looking forward to.

This young man was killed shortly afterwards.

It was a poignant and moving few minutes, during which we were all able to think how very lucky we are.
