Metallic Jewel Bug
Scutiphora pedicellata
Found in my parents' garden – they do get all the interesting bugs!
Not a beetle (despite looking like one), but a true bug, like aphids, cicadas, shield bugs, leaf hoppers etc.
Bigger is more shiny?
