Back Blipped 18.11.13
Alan off to school happy in the knowledge he has a short week as the next two days are In-set days.
Once he was out the door it was a quick tidy round then lunch preparation for two friends who were visiting to discuss and plan the annual Burns Supper for January 2014.
A group 16 of us have been getting together for a number of years to celebrate Burns Night, taking turns to be the host and in January it’s our turn to have everyone. We missed the one in January this year due to Alan being ill so we’re really looking forward to catching up with everyone in January. And the good thing about hosting the event is you don’t have to do any of the speeches. Woo hoo :))
I now have a list of things to do / organise and have been left with the spare table, tartan placements, candles and other bits and bobs of table decoration. The good news is we don’t have to do it all on our own as everyone mucks in. Great fun.
The only challenge is catching the Haggis as they are crafty little b*ggers at evading capture, so with that in mind, the first Haggis Hunt will take place this weekend in the hills of Perthshire. I reckon I will need at least 4 to feed this hungry lot and I’ll pen them in the Gin Palace till the time is right to kill. Wild Haggis is so much tastier than farmed Haggis.
