Shaken, not stirred...

Changes

With summer well on the way, cicada season has started. Little dude saw an empty shell/exoskeleton on a tree while we were walking home, and he was part intrigued, part freaked out. I took the shell off the tree, and explained what it was. He was fascinated. He inspected EVERY damn tree on the way, collecting several more shells. Though we did find a shell not yet fully vacated. I was a bit naughty, and took it off the tree, showing him how it twitches to get out little by little. Being a bit more naughty, I carefully carried it home, placed it in a safe spot in our garden where birds won't get it, and little man can see it from the lounge room window. He is loving watching the change.

Speaking of change.... The packing to move (buggered back and all) continues. Still nowhere to move to long-term, but we do have something lined up as a transition if we need it... Which we will. All houses available now are under application so no inspections are to be scheduled unless all the applications are declined. Nothing else is available until a few weeks AFTER we need it. So we will be moving, only to move again a few weeks later.... *sigh*

Onwards with packing.
