Chillies and Parmesan from Italy

As I explained towards the end of my Blipfoto entry for 24 October, Mrs S (Mrs Scharwenka, my dear wife) went on a brief visit (7–10 November) to Venice with some distinguished ladies who are members of the "Crime Reading Group" to which she belongs. I believe the excuse was to follow in the footsteps of well-known (but fictional) Venetian detectives...

Well, Italy means food to some of us, and here are parmesan and very colourful red chillies brought back home from the trip. The chillies are surprisingly powerful, but can spice up nicely otherwise rather bland dishes.
