My New Business Strategy: Traveling for love

So, since I'm abroad and on a different continent...of course its time for someone I care about to get engaged. Granted, I understand I've been abroad a lot over the last 5 years or so...but it's that time again. Thinking about it, I don't think I've been in America when someone has gotten engaged...or basically on the same continent when someone has gotten engaged. My friends should hope now that I keep traveling, cause if not then the world may have many emerging cat ladies in the the future. :)

( I wonder if I could start getting women to fund my travels so that they can find love...possible new business idea. Back up plan for if this whole conflict resolution things doesn't work out!)

I'm not the best at skyping with people cause I'm 11 hours or at least 8 hours ahead of many of my friends and family and its gets hard to find a time to meet up...but occasionally I start getting emails or text from good friends and family saying, "we should skype soon! (even though we never do really)." I got one of those from one of my good friends from High School, Becky a few days ago. I suspected nothing at first and then after many missed opportunities to talk and canceled meeting times in the last several days, she sent an email saying "I'll wake up at 3am to talk if need be, I would just like to talk to you (even though I'll see her in a few weeks)." Yep, that did for me. I knew something was up and I figured engaged was gonna be it. :)

I got a similar text from my friend Emily when I was in Botswana as well as my sister when I was also in Botswana, saying we should talk, like NOW. Both were engaged. I gotta say I like those texts/emails cause they are always happy and really excited girls on the other end of the phone. Its just fun to hear about it and be a part of it. So Becky and I skyped today and she doesn't even know I took this pic and I got to hear about the engagement. I'm very happy for her and her fiancee, Casey. I've known becky since 9th grade and she has been such a good friend throughout the years and continents...so its so great to see something so happy happen for her.

No more 9th grade anymore. We are adults now.
How did the world did that happen?!
