Contrasts

In Portsmouth today to visit the Christmas Market in Portsmouth's Historic Dockyard. There were hundreds of stalls to browse while music played and many entertainers wandered around in Victorian costume. It was all good fun. I had hoped to make great inroads into my Christmas present list but it was not to be. I am so bad at Christmas shopping!
I took several photos in the market, but I prefer this one which I took from the queue waiting to go in. Tiny rowing boats are resting on the jetty in front of the magnificent HMS Warrior. Later,when it got too chilly, and when we were fed up with the Christmas jingles, we took the tour of the Warrior.
