Cloudscape
I was very pleased to see this lovely sky this morning - half an hour later all the clouds had gone and left a blue sky, which is so good to see after the boring grey days that we've had recently.
Had a phone call at 7.30 this morning to say that one of our friends from church has had a stroke. He was on a train with his wife, but was very near to a hospital that specialises in helping people who have had strokes, so they got anti-clotting medicine into him very quickly. He is a retired minister, who still does a lot of pastoral and preaching work. He is so conscientious and caring. He has some speech and his memory appears to be intact, which is encouraging.
Awful pictures on the news last night of a police helicopter that had crashed through the roof of a pub in Glasgow. Fortunately it didn't catch fire or anything. According to the news this morning, three people have died, others are still trapped, and 32 have been injured.
Sorry that this is such a downbeat blip, but that's how it's been. All you can say is that in both situations things could have been worse I suppose.
Busy day today, and we have a big outreach event tonight, so I needed to blip early.
