Start of Advent

This is the Advent Crown at church made by one of our capable ladies. She is thrifty, so the candles from last year have been re-used ;-) I thought it was rather pretty though. The candles are all different heights because they were lit for different lengths of time last year. One of the candles was lit during the morning service and then an extra one was lit each Sunday until Christmas Day when the big white candle in the middle was lit as well.

The church was packed yesterday evening for our outreach event which went very well I think. Feel pretty tired today, and I apologise for not having the chance to reply/look at blips much over this last couple of days. We're out again in just over an hour to go to an Advent service at the local Anglican church.

Our friend who had the stroke on Friday evening is doing very well and is being moved to a hospital nearer to here as his latest scan was clear. Thank goodness it wasn't worse.
