Squirrel Nutkin

This morning I was entertained by two lively squirrels chasing each other up and down trees, across the lawns - scattering the moorhens who were enjoying a breakfast of windfall apples. Finally this little chap found a walnut and very obligingly decided to eat it in full view of the patio doors and my camera set up and ready for action. I've hung the fat slab up and so far it's attracted the blue tits but I'm hoping many more will feast from it.
