Not a happy babba girl :-(

For the last few nights, Eva has been waking just before I go to bed, then sleeping through til 5 am then again til just after 8. If we could just lose the 5am wake up, it would be just about perfect :-)

She woke up at 8 am very upset this morning. Normally she kind of half moans half cries just to get my attention, then when she sees me she's all smiley and fine. This morning though, we had proper tears. I lifted her out of her cot and took her into our room and sat on the bed with her on my lap for cuddles and big tears were just rolling down her cheeks. I cuddled and rocked her trying to console her, and eventually she just fell back to sleep in my arms. She cried all throughout me getting her washed and dressed then too.

We went off to Rhythm Time then. She fell asleep in the car on the way there and the way back, but once there she loved it! She was all smiles and so excited, letting out her usual little squeals and shouts of excitement. All the other babies were just sitting there quietly, but the Rhythm Time lady said she thinks Eva likes to sing along, like mother like daughter. I absolutely cherish those moments seeing her enjoying herself so much. I wish I could take more photos or video her at Rhythm Time to look back on, but obviously I can't once I'm in there very easily.

She had her sleep when we got back and was quite grizzly on and off during the afternoon, and very clingy for me. I think she may have some more teeth coming through, and she just seemed very tired and warm.

I took Jake over to his moms at around 4.45, which maybe was a mistake, as Eva slept in the car, then would not settle going to bed at bedtime. First of all she didn't want any dinner (again a clue that she's teething) but even though she still seemed shattered, she just would not settle. She was so upset. I went up, Mike went up! I tried again! Mike tried again, every time we left the room she would get beside herself again to the point you couldn't just ignore. I kept giving her big cuddles as the huge tears rolled down her cheeks. We tried another teething powder (she'd already had calpol) more milk, checked her nappy, gave her cuddles, winded her, but she just was not herself poor baby. It took her til just before 11pm to eventually get to sleep. Xxxxx
