Fire in the hearth

December 1st and it seems to have gone colder - so the fire has been lit for the first time for ages. Good pork lunch which seemed to satisfy the family (thank goodness!) and tonight it's the Advent Carol Service by Candlelight. I must admit, I'm a bit iffy about Advent Carol Services so I'm hoping that tonight's offering will be more of an act of worship than a concert. We shall see!
