Dangling
Noticed this on my walk to work this morning (problem with gears on bike hence the walk).
Walking was okay though as it was one of those bright, blue, crisp 'New York kind of days'.
Lots of opportunities to think, reflect. And wonder.
All the tributes and comments and reflections on the life of the great Nelson Mandela seem overwhelming right now. But no harm. It's good to be overwhelmed in this way.
In other news, I read of a University of London student who has been put on bail as a result of the recent demonstrations there. One of the conditions of bail is that the student is "not permitted to be in a group of more than 4 persons (including yourself) in any public place". That's going to make having a drink with friends or doing the shopping a bit difficult, isn't it?
I've still not heard anything directly from my friend and his wife who were told to leave their home because of the floods yesterday, although he did post late last night about seeing something on Sky TV where the reporter was saying 'we'll just take a final look at Wells-next-the-Sea'. I'm assuming he and his wife are alive and well.
