Huge - but far away

A nothing image today. We're about 10 miles away from the building here. Up close, it is huge. A landmark from whichever direction you approach Rugby.

It used to be the BT VLF/ULF transmitting station off the A5/M1 which used to grab your attention as you passed by, but now that the biggies have gone (hundreds of much smaller masts remain), its the Rugby Cement works that you spot from a distance

Its unusual to be able to see it this clearly but, this morning, the sky was very clear indeed. The dark clouds overhead also helped frame it against the much lighter sky further away.

A couple of weeks ago, I took a photo of Steve, our neighbour to be used in a special project. Tomorrow the reason why will be revealed. It will be well worth while for a number of reasons!
