The old woolshed

We woke up to very welcome rain this morning. It was nice that the rain had cooled the temperature down, as the past few nights it has been between 16 to 18 degrees C. Makes for a very uncomfortable night sleeping.

It was my turn to milk this morning. It was so hard getting out of bed at 4.40am. I could easily have rolled over and carried on sleeping!

After milking we had to take the cows to their paddock, which happens to be the furthest away on the farm. It had cleared up, but the cloud was hanging around the hills. This is our old woolshed - not used for anything other than storage. The cows were just starting to come into the paddock when I took the photo.

After breakfast it started to rain, so I decided to crawl back into bed for some more shut eye. The cat thought it was a good idea also - he crawled in beside me. It was just bliss!

It's just about milking time again, and it is starting to cloud over again. Our turnips, planted about 3 weeks ago, will be enjoying the extra moisture.
