Beautiful light this morning, the sun realy low in the sky with only 12 days to go to the Winter Solstice.
Some of you may know how fond I am of Cromer, the Edwardian Coastal town that was favoured by European Royalty. It unusualy has a north facing beach so in the summer the sun rises and sets in the sea.
These days it's pretty down at heel in spite of European moneys effort to smarten it up.
It has a pier with a wonderful theatre at the end of it.Each May there's a 3 day folk festival that I've enjoyed for years.Perfect start to summer : often warm sun, sea, good beer and brilliant music,what more could a grumpy old woman want. I've even been know to dance!!.
Earlier this month a devastating tidal surge swept down the east coast,creating mayhem and damage. Look here for photo's of huge seas and damaged pier. Don't think we'll be in the pier theatre May 2014!!
