Today's the day ............................ to escape the madding crowd

I'm in one of my most favourite parts of the country for a few days of rest and recouperation.

We have been coming here at this time for many years - and it's the perfect antidote to all the mad commercialisation that has happened to Christmas. We'll just read books, paint, walk, swim, eat, drink - and any other such activities that we fancy. I don't think the weather forecast is all that great for the coming week - but it won't matter. We'll just do what we can with it.

This afternoon though, Rob and I went down to the loch just in time to see the last rays of the sun behind Ben Venue ...............
