The Window Seat!
My son and I caught the train to Trivandrum more correctly the proper Indian name Thiruvananthripuram. All Indian cities have reverted from English influenced names back to Indian ones. There is always a bit of confusion as to which train we are supposed to get on but we got the right one eventually. I love Indian train travel. And at the moment there are many men doing a pilgrimage into the jungle (devotees of Sabari Malai who flood into Kerala at this time if the year) and most of the stations and trains are packed with them. They usually wear black. They are barefooted and they have garlands of flowers some of which are attached to the train windows. When they get to the forest they walk through rough terrain barefooted to get to the temple to worship. They will have fasted for sometime and been separate from any women in their life for this period. This guy climbed out of the open window at the station I'm not sure what he was doing. But then we very rarely do know as they say about India 'expect the unexpected'
