Time to work

I have some stuff to finish before Christmas, the kind of stuff that requires peace and quiet and time to concentrate. Today I realised that there is very little of that kind of time left, so I stayed in the office and worked, getting more done between 5pm and 8pm than I did in the rest of the day.

I don't like working late or at weekends but there is something almost blissful about that uninterrupted time, watching one's ideas appear fully-formed and almost magically on the (virtual) page. I was almost sorry to leave the office but there was the promise of mulled wine :-)
