THE BLACKBIRD AND THE APPLES

we saw a couple of blackbirds eating from the apples that still hang in the tree on our way to the bakery.
They all flew away but one stayed, kept an eye upon us, but went on with taking bites with littles pauses in between.
What was remarkable was the fact that they did not eat of the heaps of apples that lay on the ground.
Piet Hein walked home after our shopping and I made a little tour around town, looking for a present for Mischa. In the little shop I met Gerlinde inside.
She had read about my Christmas tree and I described it to her and then she said so it looks like Santa in the woods, hidden under a lot of branches. She made me smile. I did not take a picture though.
It was a morning with more encounters to follow, so funny that sometimes one walks and does not see a familiar face and the other time there is no end to who one meets. Probably has to do with Christmas.
There were some little works still to do, and now they are done I can post my picture and wish you all my lovable blipfriends a very Merry Christmas.

I am very glad you liked the travellers joy seedheads. I had made a picture and zooming in by chance I saw new opportunities and by chance it ended there where the rhytm was to my liking. Thank you for the lovely comments, stars and hearts.

My haiku:

Blackbird you black bird
Your yellow eyes and yellow
Beak eating apples

And the proverb:

To prove that black is white.

Meaning: To make most glaring contraries unite. And prove beyond dispute that black is white.
