Boxing Day
Eva was only stirring as Mike and I went up to bed last night, so I lay her on her changing table and gave her a top up feed that way, then gently lay her back into her bed and went to bed myself. The next thing I knew, I was waking up this morning and it was 9am. Mike had only woken up himself at 8.30 and Eva was only just stirring, so we'd all had a good sleep.
We all got ready and came downstairs for breakfast where Eva had some oat and apple baby cereal, some toast, some bacon off my sandwich and 2 chocolate buttons mmmmmmm. We break the chocolate buttons in half for her and she loves them. She'd already had some milk so she was quite content, our babba girl. That was the most she'd eaten put together I reckon since about Sunday.
We went into Solihull then to have a look round the sales with our Christmas vouchers. I was umming and arring what to do, as by this time it was nearly Eva's nap time and I didn't think she'd sleep while we were out, as she never has done in the past. Typically, she did fall asleep just as we were walking back to the car at around 3.30pm. Mike managed to get her into her car seat without her waking, but when we got home, I got our stuff out of the boot, slammed it shut, and that woke her up, she wouldn't settle back down in her bed after that, so she didn't really get much of a sleep today.
We bought Eva some lovely tights and an absolutely gorgeous new coat in the sale from Baby Gap. Could not believe the coat should have been £35 and we got it for £15, it is lovely. (Today's pic)
Gave up with trying to get Eva to have a sleep, plus it was getting later, so I brought her back downstairs and we just played with some of her new toys. She sat for a good while playing with them on her own too, it is mesmerising and so heartwarming to just watch her play and chatter away and do her pointing. She is also crawling a lot, lot more now, as oppose to rolling around. She is also sitting herself up from lying down now too :-) :-) :-)
Eva absolutely wolfed down her dinner, followed by a yoghurt this evening. Her appetite certainly seems to have returned and her temperature has stayed down all day, thankfully.
Mike gave Eva her bath tonight, then I went up to give her her milk and put her to bed. She was tucked up, spark out by 7.20pm tonight.
Sleep well baby girl. We love you so, so much xxxxx
