Crackers! Nuts!

Definitely not terms I'd use about anyone in my family...

Over the last few Christmases, certain members of the family have managed not just to break the legs on our own nut cracker but also on the one we borrowed from grannie. Now that the sandstone hearth is posh granite, you can't even take a fire poker to them on the hearth to break them. Thankfully someone bought this one to replace it!

Having had a very busy day yesterday, not only shopping and visiting blipers but also having a Wednesday when it was Sunday, we made today Sunday and had a nice roast. There was then just some packing to do ready for our trip down to Sheffield tomorrow.
