Fireside chat

A day of replenishing larders (mainly for an elderly relative), transporting the house bunny we have been looking after for our niece to its new home for Hogmanay, then eventually off to a Christmas party with Anne and Iain.

It was great to see Iain being the consummate host especially as a few months ago he was at death's door having contracted Legionnaire's from compost.

Good too to catch up with childhood friends and other acquaintances.

Lots of photos of the party and animated discussion (most heated about the referendum: pound and defence) but I do not feel I have permission to post them as a blip. Instead here is the fireplace which radiated a lot of heat and light.

Also saw someone who grew up in the 50s in our house. Very Edinburgh!
