Ummm....no.

Had a home inspection this morning to do. It's something I'd love to do professionally and charge for but this was for a friends new home.

Found this wire underneath though. Don't think it's to code for some reason....probably should be in a box and a bit of insulating tape wouldn't spoil the party either. Maybe a few wires actually secured to the floor joists. Little things that i'll sort.

House we looked at today was really good. Probably one of the best we've seen. But even still it had a list of things that we'd like done before it was rented out - like the complete lack of vent and p-trap on the washer hookup and a few recepticles changed. Nothing too illegal.

Whilst we were doing our inspection the other realtor turned up! Trying to get closing before the end of the month....ummm....like tomorrow. Errrr....that's not happening as the title company haven't even started their title work despite having the last week to do so. Guess the Christmas spirit/lethargy got in the way of that.

And then the woman is talking all about how the house already has the paperwork done for renting the moment it closes. Ummmm....no...the new investor will be handling that thank you.

Odd house, totally underwater/negative equity bug for no real reason that I can see. It's a great rental property, high quality, practically rent ready, and so forth. Someone needed to get out of this house asap.
