Happy New Year!

We are spending New Years Eve at home in the company of 2 of our grandchildren who are here for a sleepover. Their parents are having a party which will go on well into tomorrow and so we've decided to have our own celebrations here. They have selected the menu - cottage pie (my signature dish!) followed by blackcurrant jelly and squirty cream (ugh!). We have some games to play and have told them that they can stay up to see the New Year's fireworks and Big Ben strike midnight. We've lied!! We will play the recording of last year's celebration on You Tube around 8pm, let off some party poppers then pack them off to bed. They'll be none the wiser!!
