Waiting

This is a back blip but as we are only just in from the neighbours I have no optin.

We are fortunate to have an attic space from which we can see the castle and the skyline looking towards Calton Hill.

While we saw the fireworks at 20.14 to mark the start of the homecoming year in 2014 we were less clear about the timing of the subsequent hourly fireworks. So part of the evening was spent peering out of the window and this is some of our French friends on the lookout. While there was little to see when we went up that was repaid in spades with the formal fireworks at midnight, my New Year's Day blip.

The excitement that fireworks generate in young and old is infectious.
