New Year, New Start

I often wonder what the fuss is about New Year. After all, it's just another day right. But there again, it's seen as a time for starting a fresh, turning over a new leaf, making a new beginning. A time for reflecting on the past year and for making plans for the next.

Well 2013 saw me work for free full time for 8 months. Complete 3 midnight marathons, in 3 different countries, in my bra, hand in hand with the love of my life, who was also in his bra. Travel to Canada. Survive the Tough Mudder and get a job that I really enjoy.

It had its down points too but if 2014 is even half as good as 2013, I'll be happy. I don't make New Year's Resolutions but I have put in progress some changes that I hope will improve my life (and which will be backblipped shortly).

So the blip? A representation of 2013. A gift from two dear friends who wanted to congratulate us on our efforts raising money for charity. A sculpture entitled, Lovers Walking.
