I used to be extremely religious, and it was my number one stumbling block to coming out so I couldn't avoid working that in. I'm pretty pleased with how the whole thing turned out, though it is rather, ironically, preachy. I didn't take this storyline as far as I would have liked - in about four weeks/twenty strips the paper went belly up and the comic had to find a new home (and start all over again), so I was just hitting my stride here.
