Castell Dinas Bran
Firstly I hope those of you on the west side of the UK are safe, well and haven't been badly affected by the storms. It was upsetting to see the damage caused over such a large area.
I had a great day, with a very pleasurable walk with Ross from Llangollen to the aquaduct at Pontcysyllte and then through the Trevor hall Wood and on to the Panorama Walk, finishing at Castell Dinas Bran. The weather stayed dry, even if the conditions were somewhat overcast. It just begged for a B&W sort of day.
Ross and I have done a number of walks, including the Coast to Coast in 2010. It was during that walk that other 'Coasters" dubbed us the 'cafetiere boys' because of our habit of boiling up water and charging cafetiere mugs with ground coffee for refreshment each day. I'm pleased to say the tradition remains.
We stayed dry throughout the walk but as we returned to the car rain started to come down and was heavy for a good part of the drive back home.
Technical: A 2 stop ND grad on the lens to hold in the sky. Converted to B&W in Silver Efex Pro with a touch of vignetting. Lightened the two pillars to remove the effect of the ND grad.
