New Kids on the block
We did a slightly extended circuit of St Ives this morning using the path around the outer edge of some of the estate in an attempt to avoid the more muddy and wet places.
This is Altar Lane just before we cross back into the estate and shows my neighbour D and A a friend who retired last month and just started walking with us. With her is Hamish, another Westie who seems to be enjoying these early forays.
As someone had food for the ducks we ended up at Coppice Pond as usual. Lots of Canada geese as well as the ducks and gulls, butbthrewas another 'new kid', a Greylag goose. Definitely on its own and rather shunned by the others, we wondered if it is the same one as seen last week walking down the road in front of A's house. It was collected by the RSPCA and maybe this was where they brought it. It was said to be quite friendly so possibly domestic. One that got away?
