Going for the paper.

Since our paper shop/post office changed hands last year we have had to go and get our own papers rather than having them delivered.

Here you can see Chris on the zebra crossing returning with his paper. I thought he looked rather colourful.

This is the centre of our village and despite many misgivings when they put a zebra crossing right on the junction there have been thankfully no fatalities! This junction is where Long Lane/Harden Road meets Wilsden Road. Up the hill is Keighley
Road and our main route into the St Ives Estate.

Today we were going to Ilkley for a bit of a look around and a coffee before going to a post Christmas lunch with friends nearby. They have both retired in the last year so it was nice to meet mid week and midday for a change. We had thought of taking a walk after lunch but the weather thought otherwise. It was nice to catch up but why do we only do it on e a year!
