My favourite...... bridge

Decided to go out today to get some fresh air and exercise. Walked down to the village to go to the bank. Then got the bus to Gateshead and another bus down to the Quayside.

Crossed the River Tyne using the Millennium Bridge and wandered along the Newcastle side of the river - under the Tyne Bridge. There are some lovely old buildings in this area.

I chose The Tyne Bridge for my blip. I was pleased to get the reflection of the Bridge in the large puddle on the pavement. Today's Forum Challenge is " my favourite................... " and the Tyne Bridge is my favourite bridge. Newcastle is my favourite town. I like London and Las Vegas but only to visit. Wouldn't want to live in either place. I'm a Geordie born and bred and my roots are in the North East.

After taking a few shots down on the Quayside I went to the bus stop near The Guildhall to get the bus up to the shops. This is the view from the bus stop.

Did a bit of shopping in town - there were still a few bargains to be found.

Had a quiet evening just watching TV.

Neil phoned at 11pm last night - it was 10am in Australia. He was in Melbourne Airport waiting for his flight to Shanghai. Then he would be getting another flight to Beijing . And then onwards to London - arriving Friday evening. Then the overnight coach to Newcastle. As soon as he reaches Newcastle on Saturday morning he will be going...... to work. Finishing at 9.30pm. So I won't see him till around 10pm. Bet he will be worn out by the time he gets home.
