My 40th year

Lego friends

Started the day reluctantly and velcroed to the bed as last nights PTA meeting ended inappropriately drunken which is what happens when you hold it in a pub and everyone rushes to it without eating dinner. Everyone really liked my proposal to support the Wood Street Missions great work of kitting out disadvantaged children with new school uniform and filled pencil cases at the beginning of the new school year. A lot of these children's families are in the homeless families process and they may well be starting a new school. Just to start in your new school with a new smart uniform can give a child just a small bit of much needed confidence to get through a potentially tough day. It's a good lesson for our children to appreciate things they take for granted.

I walked off my hangover with Kate on a long dog walk but my fuzzy head made me forget my camera. Heidi had ballet this afternoon and then we went off to Janes for our Friday NCT tea. These 4 above have been friends since before they were born and play so well together, the older 2 were very patient with their younger sisters. They all and I love lego so much, the possibilities are endless. They played with it for hours and then Jane and I were invited to watch a lego friends show.

Lovely dinner tonight at Talias, Mark arrived 2 hours late as his electric car hadnt charged up so he'd had to wait a couple of hours before there was enough charge to get there!
