"The Smoke Haze"...

...This blip was taken this morning around 7:30:a.m. when we could smell smoke - the smoke of the fires which are still burning about 2 hours from where we live..and beyond..

...And so - this is a capture of the sun when it was just peeping over the trees in front of us - you can see the dark cloud on the right - that's smoke, it's cleared now and is just a haze, but there are some bad fires still burning interstate and as well in this state..

...In our previous home when we lived here over 30 years ago, we could see in one year, many fires burning across the river 40 klms away - the flames so high, and now, all those years later, the scrubland there has grown so well, one would hardly know there had been a fire through there..some trees are resilient, but the wildlife and people's lives and livelihoods suffer so, and in some instances already as well costs them their lives...

...And as is usual here, everyone rallies around to help everyone in one way or another..the fire fighters we always feel - are so brave..they see it all...
